Uphold has now processed over $630m in cloud money transactions without the need to lend out and multiply their clients deposits as traditional banks do today with your money.
Uphold prevents the need for taxpayers to foot the bill through ‘bank bailouts’ as all reserves are viewable at all times by its depositors and they never invest more money than on deposit, something that banks around the world continue to practice today when they invest more money than they have on deposit.
By using the Blockchain, Uphold are also able to offer free international transfers of funds between users without having to charge foreign exchange fees.
