We’re excited to introduce a new enhancement to the BF Platform Secondary Market: Price Cap. This feature is designed to improve market liquidity and fairness by setting an upper limit on sell order prices.
What This Means for You
More Liquidity: Orders will fill more efficiently, ensuring smoother transactions.
Fair Pricing: Buyers with less market information won’t overpay.
Flexible Selling Options:
If you want immediate liquidity, you’ll need to sell at the price cap. If you prefer to wait for a higher valuation, you can hold until the next pricing round, at which point both the price cap and price floor will be adjusted accordingly.
What’s Changing?
Automatic Cancellation of Sell Orders Above the Price Cap:
Any existing sell orders exceeding the new cap have been automatically removed. If your order was affected, you may now place a new sell order within the permitted price range, provided you are a Tier 4 investor.
Upcoming Market Expansions:
We remain on track to enable Tier 2 investors to place buy and sell orders by the end of Q2 2025. While Tier 2 access is not yet available, we have secured the necessary licenses and are finalizing feature development with the BF Global IB MU regulators.
We are also working on approval to allow US investors in dormant closing status to place sell orders as part of their account closure process, whether they are Tier 4 or not. Expect further updates on this by Q2 2025.
Finally, we are working on a new user interface for your shares to make it easier to track the performance and value of your portfolio that we will aim to release before the end of Q2 2025.
How to Place an Order
If you are a Tier 4 investor, you can now place buy or sell orders within the permitted range. If you are not yet Tier 4, you can upgrade by clicking on the Identity tab in the top-right menu.
