BnkToTheFuture has two types of forums for every company that runs a campaign on BnkToTheFuture’s online investment platform.

Discussion forum – a medium where you can ask questions, discuss ideas and share views on a particular pitch/company. This discussion forum is usually used by potential investors who wish to learn more and invest in a particular company. The discussion forum is open to any qualifying member that may not have invested yet.
Investor zone – this forum is reserved only for the pitch/company team members and the users who are investors in that company. The investor zone is usually used by the company’s team members for sharing updates with the investors once the campaign has ended. The investors may also use this zone to discuss anything confidential about the company, important information like their dividends, new updates, etc. The investor zone forum is for investors in the company only.

We have now updated our system for email notifications related to forum posts.

The earlier feature on BnkToTheFuture sent an email notification for every post that was made by anyone on the discussion & the investor zone forum to anybody following a particular company.

To stop receiving such email notifications, the only option was to unfollow a company which would stop all notification emails to the investors even if the Pitch owner/team shared an investor update or any important information on the investor zone.

We listened to your feedback as always and implemented some changes in our system. The new update only sends you an email notification when a forum post has been made by either the company/pitch owner or company/pitch team members. These posts may include some important information or even an investor update. You must follow the company to receive such email notifications.

You will also be notified via email if you’re following the company and if someone comments on a post that you made.

This means you will no longer receive email notifications for posts made by other users/investors in the discussion or the investor zone forum.

Make sure you follow the companies you have invested in so that you don’t miss out on any important information shared by the team members of that company.

Summary:

Follow the companies you have invested in to receive email notifications about the posts made by the company team members in the company investor zone and discussion forum.
You will also be notified via email if you’re following the company and if someone comments on a post that you made.
You will no longer receive emails for posts made by other users/investors in the forums.

Portfolio Section Update: View Live Transactions.

Now you can view all your transactions in the Portfolio section of your account.

After receiving some feedback from our investors, we started working on a new feature that lets investors know which payments are ‘Cancelled’ and which are ‘Paid’. We have now successfully released this feature within the portfolio section of your BF Account for added transparency and convenience.

This is a stop-gap while we redevelop the complete portfolio which we shared details on here.

To confirm your investment status, you may log into your BF account and select the portfolio option within your account. You can then view all your transactions that are live and have not closed yet, and any live transaction marked as ‘Paid’ means your investment has been confirmed. You can also click on the pending tab and If you see a pending investment displaying the amount of your investment, it means your investment has been marked as “Paid”.

With this new feature you will be able to check for yourself fast and easy which of your transactions are cancelled and which are paid.

Introducing Multi-Currency Deposits on BnkToTheFuture.

Now you can deposit any traditional currency on BnkToTheFuture.com and we will automatically convert it to USD* using our auto-convert feature.

We are excited to announce that you are now able to deposit any traditional currency supported by SWIFT into your BnkToTheFuture account. A full list can be found here. Once received our trust partner will auto-convert your funds to USD using the exchange rate at the point of receipt. All USD on our platform can be invested or withdrawn as either USD or stablecoins like USDT giving investors maximum flexibility with their funds.

Please note when sending any currency other than USD the bank will charge a foreign exchange fee which will only be known to us after the conversion has taken place. You will have to assume all currency risk and any third party bank fees will be deducted from your deposit.

As the next phase of our vision all USD balances will now be shown as “USD* ” on BnkToTheFuture. The reason for this is because they are interchangeable between traditional USD and stablecoins like USDT allowing for easy on-boarding to the crypto sector.

Some FAQs:

What is USD*?

All traditional currencies (Example USD, EUR, GBP, CNY, JPY and any other traditional currency) you send to BnkToTheFuture.com are converted upon deposit into United States Dollars (USD) and held in a range of stablecoins that we call crypto USD (USD*).

These stablecoins are primarily held in TUSD (TrueUSD) and USDT (Tether), with some held in other stablecoins which may include but will not be limited to DAI, PAX, USDC, GUSD, BUSD amongst others. Therefore, your USD* balance on BF is backed by a mix of US Dollar fiat funds, stablecoins backed by USD and some decentralised stablecoins. Hence any transaction on the BF Platform will occur in USD* unless you are investing, for example, in a Primary Offering through one of our Third Party Escrow Providers or you are paying in Credit or Debit Cards for an investment.

We have introduced USD* to make it easier for many of our investors to deposit and withdraw the type of USD/stablecoin they feel most comfortable with and is most convenient for them.

What is a USD stable coin?

A USD stablecoin is a cryptocurrency that attempts to offer price stability with a pegged exchange rate (called a peg) to the US Dollar and is reported to be fully backed by USD dollars. Other stablecoins may use an algorithmic mechanism to try to maintain their peg to USD. Stablecoins attempt to offer the best of both worlds – instant processing-as easy as sending an email and remove volatility when investments are priced in dollars.

Please note that there is no guarantee the stablecoins will hold their peg to USD and therefore in an extreme event there may be currency and counterparty risks associated with each stablecoin. We diversify across a range of stablecoins in order to manage some of these risks, but investors should be aware of the currency and counterparty risks before depositing.

Which traditional currencies can I deposit and are there any fees to convert them?

You are able to deposit any traditional currency supported by SWIFT. A full list can be found here. Once received the bank will convert them to USD at the exchange rate at the point of receipt and will charge bank fees which will only be known to us after the conversion has taken place. Investors will have to assume all currency risk and all third party fees will be deducted from their deposit. Unfortunately, banks only reveal the exchange rate and fees after processing the conversion so the extent of the fees will be unknown until after they are converted.

BnkToTheFuture switches to First Digital Trust, in move away from traditional bank structure

BnkToTheFuture switches to First Digital Trust to store clients assets.

30 JULY 2020 – BnkToTheFuture, the world’s largest global online investment platform and first digital asset securities business, is moving its client’s assets to new trust partner, First Digital Trust (FDT), Asia’s leading financial technology institution powering the digital asset industry, to give additional protections to client funds.

“We’ve been through a lot of banking partners, and we’re excited to finally have a partner that understands the fundamental risk of a bank. We are forecasting a systemic risk event in banking, and integrating with FDT’s custody services provides our users with additional protection from global economic disruption,” said Simon Dixon, CEO of BnkToTheFuture, the largest online investment platform boasting over 90,000 high net worth Bitcoin and fintech investors.

The FDT team, who have been experts in trust, custody and asset servicing since 1992, will provide custody of client’s digital assets and traditional fiat currencies under a fiduciary structure where – unlike a traditional banking relationship – the funds can not be used by the custodian to make investments.

The move marks an important milestone in strengthening trust for investors as the fragile reality of traditional banking value-chain becomes more evident.
